Deathmatch

A free-for-all PvP event that runs on a schedule. Everyone fights everyone; points decide the winner.

Schedule

  • Matches run automatically, with a break between them (timings set by staff).
  • The server announces the next match 15 minutes and 5 minutes before it starts (with a pop-up at 5 minutes). Each match takes place in one of these arenas: Bilgewater Dock, Jhelom, Graveyard, Buccaneer's Den, Yew.
  • Double-click the Arena Master to join, before or during the match.

Joining

  • You can't join mounted (unless the staff allow mounts for that match).
  • Only one character per IP can take part in a match.
  • You enter at a random spot with full HP, mana and stamina.

Arena rules

  • No item loss. Your gear stays on you when you die.
  • You can't heal or buff other players.
  • No Recall, Gate Travel, Sacred Journey or Mark (and no ethereal mounts in no-mount matches).
  • Logging out inside takes 15 minutes, and logging out removes you from the match.

Points

Event Points
Kill a player per kill (set by staff)
Time alive per minute survived (set by staff)
Top damage on the deathless lich +100
Staying outside the arena too long after dying lose points every minute (set by staff)
  • On a kill you get back 20 HP, 20 stamina and 50 mana.
  • When you die you're resurrected in the waiting area at full health. Wait 30 seconds, then rejoin from the Arena Master. Rejoin soon, or your points start to drain.
  • Deathless lich: an arena champion appears at 3, 7 and 11 minutes into the match. Whoever deals the most damage to it gets +100 points.

Special mode: in special-mode matches, each kill also grants a random 2-minute effect instead of the HP/mana refill.

Rewards

When the match ends:

  • Everyone gets Event Points = your points รท 10 (max 50).
  • The top 3 get a Champion Trophy (1st / 2nd / 3rd place) in their bank. This needs a minimum number of participants (set by staff).
  • When the staff turn on special rewards, the winner also gets:
    • the Deathmatch Champion Shroud with 20+ participants, otherwise
    • the Deathmatch Champion Belt.

Both last 7 days and give 5% Reflective. They also give 5% Surging and 5% Focus if you have more than 50 Evaluating Intelligence, otherwise 5% attack speed and 5% weapon accuracy.

The Arena Master shows the last winner and the leaderboard.
