Houses¶
Placing a house¶
- One house per account.
- Use a House Placement Tool and pick a design. The price is listed in the tool and taken from your bank.
- You can't build in towns, guarded or no-build areas, or anywhere something blocks the footprint.
- Re-placing (changing design) charges or refunds the price difference.
- Houses must be at least 10 tiles from any Garden Plot.
Decay¶
- A house lasts 30 days without a refresh. It goes Like New → Slightly → Somewhat → Fairly → Greatly worn → In Danger of Collapsing, then collapses.
- Refreshing: the house refreshes whenever its owner, a co-owner or a friend walks in or uses a door.
- When a house collapses, loot goblins collect the decayed items.
Storage¶
Each design has a base number of secures and lockdowns. Owners can buy storage upgrades from the house menu:
- +25% storage per upgrade, up to 10 upgrades (350%).
- The cost is your current secure count × 500 gold, ×1.15 for each upgrade you already have. It comes from your bank.
- Upgrade costs are added to the house's value.
Up to 15 co-owners.
House upgrades¶
| Upgrade | Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Recall enhancement | 15 Platinum Coins | You and your friends can mark and recall inside the house |
| Storage upgrade | see above | +25% secures and lockdowns |
Vendors: public vendors (more for bigger houses), 1 animal trainer, up to 5 custom NPCs and up to 5 barkeeps.
Demolishing¶
When you demolish your house, you get back 80% of its value (including storage upgrades) as a bank check in your bank box.
- Platinum-bought town houses also refund 80% of their platinum price.
- Everything left inside stays on the ground, free for anyone to take, and the land opens for a new house.
- Staff demolitions give no refund.
